Some of you may remember my query a while back on locating the chassis number on a 280Se 3.5. No one here seemed too certain where exactly I should look. After some scratching around (and paint stripping!) I found it. So for the record (and if anyone wants to know), it is on the top of the right hand side chassis member just in front of the shock absorber, just on the wing side of the weld rib that runs along the top of the chassis member.
