were the only radios you could order directly.
In 1969 models you could get the " Becker Europa", a simple mono radio, or the brandnew " Becker Mexico Casette" which was a mono radio combined with a stereo casetteplayer.
The " Mexico" was always combined wih four loudspeakers!
Today the " Europa" is often to be found on ebay in germany for low prices, some fifty Euro or so.
The " Mexico" is much more expencieve, cause its the germans mercerfans dream radio at all.
For a good ( and tested) one, you pay some 350 € or more.
But you could also use some " Blaupunkt" types.
This firm delivered some radios in that typicaly mercedesstyle, but they were not sold by Mercedes directly.
This radios were often used because of the cheaper prices.
More information ( and photos) you will find on the homepage of " Radio Königs" in germany; sorry, don´t find the link in the moment, try to find by google - or someone in this forum will help?
I didn´t write in english for many years - so please forgive my mistakes
