I can speak english very well, but i can´t find the Wörter so schnell.
Clem, you can ask your local Mercedes-Dealer too, sometimes it is cheaper than other dealers. I dont know, where you live, but always ask for shipping-prices!
Some parts (brake pads for example) are available at your local spare-parts-dealer.

Hello everyone. I am new here. I intend tomorrow (Monday) to pay for and receive a 280SE 3.5 coupe (with factory air conditioner and sunroof) that needs quite a lot of repair. I intend to do a full rebuild over some years so may need all the advice you can give me. The car is all there - nothing missing except detail plastic bits and drives satisfactory but is old and has had a poor paint job done to it and so will need to strip to bare metal. Also all new rubber seals, new wood for dashboard and lots more detail parts will be needed. A full engine and gearbox rebuild also to be done as I intend to drive and USE this car for many years.
A first question please: will I find parts for this car, especially detail parts or is it a matter of difficulty to find these?
Please forgive the English. Hopefully I will learn more German over time.
